White Beach Hotel has closed for the 2022 season and will reopen on April 28th 2023. All are welcome.

  White Beach Hotel in Shimoda is located just 30 seconds across a country road from Ohama Beach, one of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches in Japan. Built in the 1970’s as Japan was just beginning to adopt western style hotel construction, the building is a typical kanko hotel with compact rooms and baths. White Beach Hotel is a family friendly, basic beach hotel staffed by easy-going locals and expats. We are also the closest hotel, bar and restaurant to Ohama Beach. At White Beach Hotel you can take an after-beach shower, stop in for a beer or cocktail, enjoy a wood fired pizza or sample our menu items suited for every taste and age. You can also join us to watch your favorite sporting event on one of our two 50 inch flat screen televisions. There is ample parking for both hotel guests and restaurant patrons free of charge.
